This grant was awarded to the Monroe County School District by the Gilmore Foundation, located in Amory, Mississippi.
The district used these funds to:
Integrate technology into the classrooms at the new Advanced Learning Center.
Mobile laptop carts were purchased for student use in these advanced high school classrooms
Interactive whiteboards were purchased and installed in each classroom
Wireless network connectivity was installed in the school building
This Advance Learning Center began serving the students of Monroe County School District in August, 2006.
